I have two teacup/saucers sets. One is a small cup with handle, handpainted with old japanese man with beard sitting, woman in kimono behind, child kneeling at feet of old man and a deer standing to the side. It is trimmed in gold. Scene is painted on cup both sides and saucer. Next, a small demitasse sized cup, made in Japan on bottom of cup. Cup has scalloped edges around rim, alternating green and white stripes of color with alternating rose pattern. Green part has black ink drawing of roses. Handle is gold gilt edged, saucer has same alternating stripes of color, about 1 inch wide, white part has roses painted, trimmed in gold. Tiny cup and saucer set. If anyone can identify them I would appreciate it. Have looked all over net, cannot date them or identify maker. White cup has no identification anywhere. Appears to be fine bone china. careythomson@rocketmail.com

I have a pewter spoon. The end of the handle has a bust that has a flat hat and looks like Christopher Columbus on a column. The stem has 2 lines that stand up and is like an S curve that cross over each other to form ovals. These ovals have stand up dots inside of them that look like clusters of grapes. They end at the top of a figure of a naked lady that is very detailed. She is straddled over what appears to be a barrel and it sets on top of what appears to be another column. This ends at the bowl. The bowl is almost a perfect circle. It is 6 1/2" total length. The spoon is almost black. On the back is a oval circle that has inside what appears to be an old English D on the left then five rows of two dots that are zigzagged in the center. On the right inside the oval is what appears to be an old English S. Below the oval is a rectangle with a smaller rectangle inside. Inside is a figure holding a balance scale. From the end of the rectangle to the bowl there is a V shaped that protrudes. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. angel42148@centurytel.net

I have my 95 year old mother's blue/chrome dinette table and 4 chairs. I think she and my father purchased the set in the late 40's or very early 50's. Most of the Royal Blue plastic band that goes around the lip of the table is missing and the table legs and chair legs are terribly pitted. The top of the table - probably faded from use/cleaning, is a light blue and white made to resemble marble. The chairs has the tags: VIRTUE BROS. MGG. Co., Los Angeles California, and tells what the cushion padding was made with. It also has a Serial Number 2568. Can you: 1. Approximate its current condition? 2. Can the pitted legs of the table & chairs be re-chromed or refinished. It is pitted rather deep in places. 3. Can the plastic band be purchased and its cost? Thanks Don Ingle diitx@sbcglobal.net

My mother was given an oriental tea set that she says is around 100 plus years old the markings are in gold and the closest I have seen in simularity are called Uchinda. The porcelin is almost so thin its transparent and all peices are hand painted with four people that look like two traditionally dressed women (geisha) and two children. The background is very nice and so on. Im trying to figure out what the actual name is of the set. Thanks email is tjgreer2@yahoo.ca

Need information on a clock. All I know it was from the turn of the century it is wood, standing about 230mm high, a square base measuring about 160mm x 70mm. It has carving on the front of the base flowers inside a triangular frame it has four legs sitting on top of the base which are spiral and then a round clock face it also has a pendulum , the only markings I can find is on the actual white clock face under the numeral 12, which is of two arrows crossed. The key to wind the clock was made in England would love to hear any information. Angelique www.onjie@hotmail.com need to put the www's in thanku
