3/1/08 - Antique Safe, located in St. Louis, Missouri. Circa 1849, very heavy, will take a heavy duty dolly and a few strong men to get it out of our basement (out the back door and up five steps). 1/23/08 - Victor Fireproof Safe from the early 1900s. On the top of the safe it is engraved, "DR.MB Tinker". On the bottom it is engraved, "Sold By E.M. Beebe" and also, "Binghamton NY". The outside lock is engraved with Patent in 1910. The inside lock is engraved with Yale. The safe weighs approximately 600-800 lbs. This unit originally came from a drug store in Akron OH. Its been in my family for years. I have photos for serious buyers. The only thing really missing is the ice cream bins...in that area they had built a countertop with drawers and electrical outlets. | 1/12/08 - Genuine Cushman Colonial Creation (Bennington Vermont) 2-piece hutch. The "Hutch" section sits on a solid 3 drawer base It has two shelves the sides of the hutch shelves are are edged/shaped in a Colonial design typical of Cushman. The two pieces are of hardwood and are a reddish color. The hutch is in good condition for its age and history. My uncle gave this to my parents as a wedding gift in early 1956. It was delivered to Milwaukee WI in 1956 and was in use for about twenty years, then put in storage. I've had it in north- central New Mexico for the past six years. | 1/2/08 - English Arabesque Style Skeleton Clock. Circa 1865. Arabesque style skeleton timepiece. Triple plated movement, beautifully fretted out and with seven nicely shaped pillars, has a chain fusee movement and all the wheelwork has six crossings. The dial is also nicely fretted out with engraved detailing between each of the numbers. The blued steel hands are of an unusual design. The clock has the typical ebony rod pewter pendulum found on many of these clocks. The clock is mounted on a white marble base and covered by a glass dome. Height excluding dome: 16.25" (41 cms.)
